Klaebo Becomes 12-Time World Champion, Closing in on Northug's Record

At the home World Championships in Trondheim, Norwegian skier Johannes Klaebo claimed gold in the 10 km individual start race, making him a 12-time world champion.

This victory marks his first gold in this specific discipline at world championships. Prior to this, Klaebo had already secured wins in the freestyle sprint and skiathlon events in Trondheim.

Now, Johannes Klaebo needs to win just one more gold medal to tie with his famous compatriot Petter Northug, who holds the men's record for the most gold medals. Klaebo plans to compete in all remaining events of the World Championships in Trondheim: the team sprint, relay, and the 50 km marathon.
