The International Olympic Committee (IOC) held a summit where the organization decided to allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.
At the moment, only 11 athletes have qualified for the Olympics, eight of which are from Russia and three from Belarus. They will compete in a neutral status.
Recall, in early November, the IOC warned athletes against discrimination against rivals over the conflict in the Gaza Strip, noting that athletes cannot be held responsible for the actions of the governments of their countries.
