2022 Olympic champion Guillaume Cizeron has made a return to the sport, this time without his previous partner Gabriella Papadakis. His new partner is Laurence Fournier-Beaudry.
Cizeron shared that his journey with Fournier-Beaudry started 14 years ago, and over the years they have developed a strong friendship, sharing both joys and challenges. He emphasized that their new partnership is built on mutual respect and friendship, and a shared love for the sport that opens up new opportunities.
Today, the universe offers us a new adventure. A duo born from friendship, respect, and love for the sport. A dance written by the years, and fueled by the fire of our dreams. A new story begins.
Cizeron and Papadakis last performed together in March 2022 at the World Championships, before announcing their retirement in December 2024.
Fournier-Beaudry previously competed for Canada with Nikolaj Sørensen, who was suspended from competitions in the fall of 2024 due to allegations of sexual misconduct. Sørensen and Fournier-Beaudry participated in the 2022 Olympics, finishing in ninth place.
