Martin Fourcade, the legendary French biathlete and five-time Olympic gold medalist, has commented on the retirement of Norwegian athletes Johannes and Tarjei Boe.

We had similar qualities. I always had to give it my all to beat him. He was more aggressive than I was and had tremendous self-confidence.
In the final race of the 2024/25 World Cup season held in Holmenkollen, Johannes Boe finished in seventh place in the mass start, while Tarjei Boe came in 23rd. This race marked the end of their sports careers.
