Former Man City Footballer Mikheil Kavelashvili Officially Becomes President of Georgia

Mikheil Kavelashvili, a former footballer who played as a center forward, has officially assumed the office of the President of Georgia.

Kavelashvili took the oath of office in the parliament building, where the inauguration ceremony is currently taking place, followed by the Georgian anthem.

During his football career Kavelashvili played 318 matches, scoring 93 goals and making eight assists.
