PARIVISION team coach Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov shared his thoughts on Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen becoming inactive in G2 Esports' CS2 lineup exclusively for Telecomasia.net.
The coach noted that Nikola "NiKo" Kovac might become the team's captain soon.
It seems like everything is going in that direction... Now we have options: to appoint NiKo as captain or try to find a new one. Let's see what G2's plan is. Also we should split the positions for CT between hunter/NiKo and malbsmd, since malbsmd played either on hunter's or NiKo's positions.
On July 1, G2 Esports announced changes to their Counter-Strike 2 roster on their social media, including the departure of Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen. The replacement for him is currently unknown. Prior to Nielsen leaving, content creators hinted at NiKo taking over the captain role.
Kochugov emphasized that they are not sure who G2 Esports are seeking as the fifth player:
We don’t know who they are looking for. If NiKo is the captain, then JKS will be a support player.
G2 Esports' next tournament will be the Esports World Cup 2024. The event will take place from July 17 to 21 in a LAN format in Saudi Arabia, with a prize pool of $1 million.
