Dosia said that the arrival of Boombl4 will strengthen Cloud9, but in the future, when the AWP meta is back, the team will have a hard time, because there are no good players with a sniper rifle:
With the arrival of Boombl4, it [Cloud9] will probably get stronger. But that's for now, since the AWP is weak as a weapon in CS2 for now. When it [AWP] is brought back and fixed, I think Cloud9 will have an extremely hard time playing without AWP. Right now they don't have a signle AWP player, and everyone there are riflers. I can't even imagine who of them can take up the AWP.
On November 2, Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov became a player of Cloud9 starting lineup. Before that sniper Dmitriy "sh1ro" Sokolov had left the team.
The new lineup of Cloud9 reached the semifinals of the Thunderpick World Championship 2023. On November 4 at 18:00 GMT+3, the roster of Boombl4 started a game against FaZe Clan.
