Former American football player OJ Simpson, known for his controversial criminal case, has passed away at the age of 76, his family announced. In recent years, Simpson had been battling cancer.
OJ was a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, becoming the first NFL player to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season.
