Bjorndalen Does Not Rule Out Johannes Boe's Return for 2027 World Championships

Ole Einar Bjørndalen, the eight-time Olympic champion in biathlon from Norway, suggests that Johannes Bø might make a comeback at the 2027 World Championships, which will take place in Otepää, Estonia.

Ole Einar Bjørndalen, quoted by TV2
We should hope that he returns. If he had to choose between the Olympics or the World Championships, I think he would pick the Olympics and come back for the Games. It would be amazing to see how little he needs to train to compete at that level.

Bø's victory in the sprint at the 2025 World Championships earned him an automatic personal quota spot for the upcoming championship in two years. Bø has set a record for the most individual victories at World Championships.

It is worth noting that Johannes Bø previously announced his retirement following the 2024/25 season.
