Thomas Bach, the President of the IOC, expressed his disappointment over the scandal at the championships in Trondheim involving equipment manipulation by Norwegian athletes.
It’s important to note that Olympic champions Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang, along with nordic combined athlete Jørgen Graabak, were disqualified for using reinforced threads in their suits, which improved their aerodynamic performance.

I have heard about this, read about it in the media, and followed the matter closely. I am extremely disappointed about how this played out, especially since it was not only obvious but also clearly done intentionally. There was a clear effort to deceive, and it wasn’t just a simple coincidence.
Following the incident, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) suspended Lindvik, Forfang, and several team members, including their coach and equipment manager, until the investigation is complete. Jan Erik Aalbu, the director of the Norwegian Ski Federation, admitted to the involvement in the cheating.
