In Madrid, during a half marathon held on Sunday, April 6, two participants experienced heart-attacks, as reported by Eldiario.es.
One of the deceased was a 35-year-old man who suffered a heart attack, lost consciousness, and was taken to the hospital, where he later passed away. The second participant, a 20-year-old man, was also hospitalized in critical condition.
A total of 27,000 people participated in the half marathon, with 50 requiring medical assistance.
