England women somehow got to 197 after multiple collapses as New Zealand bowlers stifled their effort. England brought in Dani Wyatt and Tash Farrant for the game in exchange for Katherine Brunt and Freya Davis. The team entered the game with one-nil in the series but New Zealand bowlers have given the batters a great shot at leveling the series.
Tammy Beaumont began the innings with three boundaries in five deliveries but then an inswinger by Devine rattled her stumps. After a partnership of 45 runs, Knight also fell and this kick-started a flurry of wickets as England got reduced to five for 85. Then Dani Wyatt and Lauren Winfield-Hill engaged in a 33 runs partnership but the latter got run-out. England lost nine for 146 from that point on.
A late partnership of Tash Farrant and Danni Wyatt ensured England reach 197 as the pair shared 51 runs between them. Dani Wyatt top-scored for England playing an innings of 63 off just 72 balls while Hannah Rowe and Leigh Kasparek shared three wickets each.
