Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has spoken out about a potential fight with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who previously signed with the PFL.
According to Wilder, he is now preparing for a December fight with Anthony Joshua, but if it doesn't happen, this date may be open for a meeting with Ngannou.
Wilder also tried on a pair of PFL gloves and said he is ready to fight Ngannou under MMA rules.
Hey, Francis. We've discussed this before, and we have plenty of opportunities to discuss it again. I'm looking for a two-fight deal.
Wilder last fought against Finland's Robert Helenius in October 2022. In that fight Deontay won by knockout in the first round. He has 43 wins (42 by KO), two losses and one draw.
Ngannou last fought in the UFC in January 2022 at UFC 270. That time his opponent was Frenchman Ciryl Gane. In that fight, Francis won by unanimous decision. He has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts.
