I guess a big thing that I realized is just how bad I want to fight Izzy. If Alex would’ve won, I would’ve moved up to fight Alex. That was a pretty much a sure thing. But it’s not the same. I want to take the belt off Izzy. II know it’s a puzzle I can work out, and it excites me. I enjoy that, and I’m never gonna stop hunting him.
Adesanya and Whittaker last met in the Octagon in February 2022 at UFC 271. In that encounter, Robert was defeated by a unanimous decision of the judges.
The first fight between Adesanya and Whittaker took place in October 2019 at UFC 243. That fight ended in Robert's defeat by knockout in the second round. He has 24 wins and six losses under his belt. Israel has 24 wins and two losses under his belt.
