Whittaker Considers Move to Light Heavyweight After Loss to Chimaev

Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker from Australia is considering continuing his career in the light heavyweight division following his recent defeat.

Robert Whittaker on his YouTube channel
I wouldn't go down [to welterweight], I can't go down. I'm still playing with the idea of going up to lightheavyweight. I'm a big dude. Much bigger than people think I am. But I don’t know.

Recall that in October 2024, during the co-main event of UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Whittaker lost to Khamzat Chimaev via submission (neck crank) in the first round. Whittaker's record stands at 26 wins and eight losses.
