UFC CEO Dana White outlined the approximate timeline for the heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.
Dana White for Sportsnet
Healing up, looking good, Jon Jones-Stipe... summer. Tom Aspinall, he's raring and ready to go. He'll fight before that fight, he'll fight either one of those guys in that fight, he doesn't care, he's ready to go and ready to prove he's the best heavyweight in the world.
Recall, Miocic and Jones were supposed to fight in November 2023 in the main event of UFC 295, but John was injured during training and withdrew from the fight. Their confrontation is now set to take place after Jones recovers from his injury.
Aspinall last stepped into the octagon against Sergei Pavlovich in November 2023 at UFC 295. Tom won that fight by first-round knockout and earned the UFC interim heavyweight title. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
