UFC president Dana White commented on Conor McGregor's statement regarding his matchup against Australian fighter Dan Hooker at the event scheduled for February 1, 2025.
White said at a press conference in Las Vegas:
Yeah, obviously that would be a great fight. I like that fight. I did not announce the fight... No [I haven't spoken to either of them].
McGregor last fought Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he suffered a technical knockout due to a leg fracture. His record stands at 22 wins and six losses.
Hooker last competed in August 2024 at UFC 305, where he won against Mateusz Gamrot by split decision. His record has 24 wins and 12 losses.
