Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman said he's ready to rematch Brazilian Bruno Silva, who won on 31 March at UFC on ESPN 54.
Weidman stated on the MMAFightingonSBN YouTube channel:
If the UFC wants to have a rematch of this fight, sure. But I would happily move on, too. It's not like I'm scared of him or anything like that. I felt like everything he had, I feel like I would only just get better. If they want to do a rematch, that's fine, too. I'm open to that.
Prior to his fight with Silva, Weidman fought Brad Tavares on 20 August 2023 at UFC 292. This confrontation lasted the entire distance. Tavares won the fight by unanimous decision. Chris 16 wins and seven defeats.
Silva is on a streak of three consecutive defeats. At UFC 294, he lost by unanimous decision to Sharaputdin Magomedov. He has 23 wins and 11 losses on his record.
