UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski shared his expectations for a possible rematch against the league's lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
Volkanovski and Makhachev first met in the octagon this past February at UFC 284. This fight lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Islam by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 24 wins and one loss on his record. Volkanovski has 26 wins and two losses under his belt.

Volkanovski last fought against Yair Rodriguez on July 9 in Las Vegas in the main event of UFC 290. In that confrontation, Alex won by technical knockout in the third round.
