Former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski of Australia said what he expects from the upcoming fight between Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes.
Bloody Elbow quoted Volkanovski as saying:
Curtis Blaydes is no mug, so he doesn't deserve to be that much of an underdog, but I can't pick against Tom Aspinall... I think he can handle the wrestling; and I think Aspinall is eventually going to catch him. I'm going to go with Tom Aspinall.
The fight between Aspinall and Blaydes will take place on 27 July at UFC 304 in Manchester.
The first fight between Blaydes and Aspinall took place in July 2022 at UFC Fight Night 208. Curtis won that fight by technical knockout after Tom was unable to continue the fight due to a knee injury.
Aspinall has 14 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts. Blaydes has 18 wins and four losses on his record, with another of his fights being ruled a no-contest.
