The UFC has officially announced a flyweight bout between Ecuadorian Marlon Vera and Brazilian fighter Pedro Munhoz. The fight will take place on August 19 at UFC 292 in Boston, USA.
Vera, 30, last stepped into the octagon in March 2023 at UFC on ESPN 43 against Cory Sandhagen. In that confrontation, Marlon was defeated by a split decision of the judges. He has 21 wins, eight losses and one draw under his belt.
Munhoz, 36, was coming off a fight against Sean O'Malley at UFC 276 in July 2022. That confrontation was stopped in the second round and was deemed a no contest due to an accidental poke to the eye by O'Malley. Munhoz has 20 wins and seven losses under his belt.
