UFC bantamweight number six Marlon Vera shared his thoughts on a potential rematch with bantamweight division champion Sean O'Malley.
O'Malley previously stated that he wants to make his first title defense against Vera at December's event in Las Vegas.
Marlon Vera
I’m not chasing no hype, I just wanna make money and be a world champion. I feel like when you won one fight one way, the next fight is not gonna happen like that. So I’m not planning on just ‘Oh, I’m gonna go f***ing break his legs.’ I’m gonna break his arms, his face, his ribs, his calves… I’m gonna just fight him.
Recall, the fight between O'Malley and Vera, which took place in August 2020 at UFC 252, ended with the victory of Marlon by technical knockout in the first round.
On August 20 at UFC 292, O'Malley defeated Aljamain Sterling by TKO in the second round to become the new bantamweight division champion. Sean, 28, has 17 wins and one loss on his record.
Vera, 30, defeated Pedro Munhoz by unanimous decision at UFC 292. He has 22 wins, eight losses and one draw.
