Former UFC women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko reacted to the words of the promotion's two-division champion Amanda Nunes, who announced the end of her career.
Earlier, Nunes stated that the next champion will own a fake belt after she leaves.
Valentina Shevchenko, quoted by CBS Sports
I feel like she's trying to put everyone down and take away the respect they deserve. I feel it's not good. Being a professional, being a martial artist, you have to give credit to everyone. Seeing things like this just shows what kind of person she is. She's not a good person it looks like.
Recall, on the night of June 11 at UFC 289, Amanda Nunes defeated Irene Aldana by unanimous decision of the judges.
Nunes, 34, defeated Julianna Peña by unanimous decision at UFC 277 on July 2022. She has 23 wins and five losses under her belt.
Aldana, 35, previously entered the Octagon in September 2022 at UFC 279, defeating Macy Chiasson by third-round knockout. She has 14 wins and seven losses under her belt.
