UFC President Dana White explained why the mass brawl involving the teams of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor after their fight was not beneficial for the promotion.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Games With Names, White said:
Dana White
We were expecting it and we were ready for it, and it still happened, it's just disappointing. People think that because I'm a promoter, that that stuff's good for us. It's not good for us because we're the biggest and baddest in all of Combat Sports, so we're the ones to make an example.
It is worth noting that the confrontation between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, which took place in October 2018 at UFC 229, ended with the victory of the Russian fighter by submission (rear-naked choke) in the fourth round.
