The media conglomerate TKO Group, which includes the UFC fighting league and WWE wrestling promotion, is planning to create a professional boxing league in the near future.
According to Sports Illustrated, this project will be made possible through collaboration with Saudi Arabia. The name of the new organization is currently unknown.
UFC and WWE joined forces under the new brand TKO Group in September 2023. Vince McMahon from WWE became the executive chairman of the new company, with Ari Emanuel from Endeavor as the CEO, and Mark Shapiro as president and COO.
