The UFC announced that a UFC 294 tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi on October 21. Earlier, it was reported that former UFC lightweight champion Petr Yan wants to hold his next fight in Abu Dhabi.
Russian fighter Yan had his last fight against Georgian Merab Dvalishvili on March 12 at UFC Fight Night 221 tournament. In this fight Petr was defeated by a unanimous decision of the judges.
Last October Yan fought against American Sean O'Malley at the UFC 280 tournament. The fight lasted the whole distance and ended with Petr losing by split decision. He has 16 wins and five losses under his belt.
