UFC Suspends De Lima for One Year Due to Doping Violation

Brazilian mixed martial artist Marcos Rogerio de Lima has been suspended for violating UFC's anti-doping policy, as reported by the league's press service.

A test conducted on the fighter on January 13, 2025, returned a positive result for anastrozole. Although de Lima provided medical documentation justifying the need for anastrozole, he failed to inform the promotion about it. As a result, he will be able to return to the octagon only starting on January 24, 2026.

De Lima's last fight took place in February 2024 at UFC 298 in Anaheim, where he faced New Zealand fighter Junior Tafa. Marcos won that match by technical knockout in the second round. His mixed martial arts record stands at 22 wins and nine losses.
