UFC middleweight Ikram Aliskerov revealed in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net the date of his upcoming match against Andre Muniz.
"I’ve had these kinds of issues throughout my entire career, even back when I fought for Brave CF. My opponents have always been changing. You spend two to three months focusing on one opponent, preparing for him, and then at the last moment, he gets changed. The last time was the same. Two weeks before the fight, Andre Muniz pulled out, and I was given Antonio Trocoli instead. I started preparing for Trocoli, and then I was told I’d be fighting Robert Whittaker,” Aliskerov said.
Things get really stressful because of that. It’s much better when you’re preparing for one specific opponent. You understand how the fight will go. I have a fight scheduled with Muniz on April 26 for the third time. The UFC offered me to fight during Ramadan at the beginning of March, but I declined.
On February 1, Aliskerov was set to face Andre Muniz at UFC Fight Night 250. Initially, their matchup was planned for June 2024, but Muniz had to withdraw due to an injury. Aliskerov holds a record of 15 wins and two losses, while Muniz has achieved 24 wins and suffered six losses in his career.
