Russian light heavyweight fighter Azamat Murzakanov has been handed a 180-day suspension until May 1, 2025, due to a violation of UFC's anti-doping policy.
Murzakanov tested positive for a banned metabolite.
It is worth noting that Murzakanov was scheduled to face Nikita Krylov at UFC 309 in November 2024, but he withdrew from the fight just 10 days prior to the event.
His last match took place against Alonzo Menifield in August 2024 at UFC on ABC 7. In that bout, which was stopped in the second round, Azamat claimed victory by knockout. He boasts a record of 14 wins and no losses in mixed martial arts.
