UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell responded to the news that former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has been sentenced to five years in prison for attempted murder.
Velasquez received this sentence for an incident in 2022 when he tried to take the law into his own hands against the man who had been accused of molesting Velasquez's son.
Pardon Cain Velasquez and put these child molesters to death. That's what I would do.
Velasquez's last fight was against Francis Ngannou in February 2019 at UFC on ESPN 1. This match ended in the first round due to a knockout loss for Cain, bringing his record to 14 wins and three losses.
Mitchell is set to enter the octagon against Jean Silva at UFC 314 in Miami, USA, on April 13. In December 2024, he scored a knockout victory over Kron Gracie in the third round at UFC 310. Mitchell currently holds a record of 17 wins and two losses.
