UFC Fighter Antonina Shevchenko Announces Retiring from MMA to Pursue Pilot Career

Three-time world champion in Muay Thai and pankration, Antonina Shevchenko, has revealed in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net that she has initiated her contract termination with the UFC to focus on her aviation career.

Antonina Shevchenko exclusively for Telecom Asia Sport
I requested an early termination of my contract with the UFC. My career as a pilot requires my undivided attention. I've been in sports since I was seven and have truly enjoyed my journey through martial arts, which has shaped me as a person. But it's time to focus on the next chapter. Airplanes and the sky are calling me!

It's worth noting that Antonina Shevchenko received her private pilot's license back in 2019. In 2020, she purchased a single-engine aircraft. A year later, she obtained her commercial pilot's license.

Her last fight took place on July 9, 2022, where she won against Cortney Casey by split decision. Antonina holds a professional record of ten wins and four losses.
