Russian UFC fighter Irina Alekseeva shared her thoughts on her next match with Telecomasia.net, which will take place at the first tournament in Azerbaijan.

I’m really happy that the tournament is being held close to home. However, for Russian fighters, competing in Baku is an extra responsibility, as fans from friendly CIS countries will support us just as much as Russians. A major advantage of the tournament in Azerbaijan is that I won’t have to deal with changing planes and stress while traveling. It will be my first time in Baku, but I’m confident that I can build a fan base there, especially if I win and deliver an emotional and spectacular performance. I can't wait for the fight.
Recall that the UFC tournament in Baku will take place on June 21, where Irina Alekseeva will face Klaudia Syguła from Poland.
The 34-year-old Alekseeva has five wins and two losses in her career, while the 26-year-old Syguła holds six wins and two losses.
