Current UFC women's flyweight champion from Kyrgyzstan Valentina Shevchenko shared her approach to cutting weight and dieting before and after fights.
Valentina Shevchenko for Match TV
Extreme weight cutting where you deprive yourself of everything is not for me. I eat everything, but I listen to my body's signals. I don't count calories because I believe it adds unnecessary pressure. When I feel I've gained a little weight, I simply stop eating after five in the evening.
Valentina Shevchenko recently won against Alexa Grasso by unanimous decision at UFC 306 held at MSG Sphere in Las Vegas on September 15, reclaiming her title in the women's flyweight division. She now boasts 24 wins, four losses, and one draw.
