UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira supported the promotion's former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, who lost to Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 300.
Pereira told Laerte Viana:
I've been through this, [Charles] has to see if he made a mistake. Sometimes we lose, but not because we made a mistake. He has to see if there will be changes, do something different. Nobody knows what he's going through outside the world of fighting too.
Oliveira and Tsarukyan met in the octagon on April 14 in the main card of UFC 300. In this fight, which lasted the entire distance, Charles was defeated by a split decision. The Brazilian has 34 wins and 10 losses in mixed martial arts, with one more fight declared a no-contest.
