UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley has announced his intention to make a boxing match against world champion in three weight divisions Gervonta Davis.
Sean O'Malley
I wouldn't mind knocking out Gervonta Davis. I know people are going to go 'oh you're a wannabe Conor,' but I'm telling you, bro, that fight is going to happen... I would love to go over and box him. I feel like it could happen sooner than later but I also know that UFC is down to get behind stuff like that if it's big enough. But maybe I have to go out there and win a couple more fights, win another belt.
Recall, on August 20 at UFC 292 O'Malley defeated Aljamain Sterling by technical knockout in the second round and became the new bantamweight division champion. Sean has 17 wins and one loss.
Davis had his last fight against Ryan Garcia in April 2023. This confrontation ended with the victory of Gervonta by knockout in the seventh round. He has 29 wins (27 by knockout) and no defeats on his record in boxing.
