UFC president Dana White has commented on Brazilian welterweight fighter Johnny Walker's win over American Anthony Smith at UFC on ABC 4.
Dana White
Obviously he’s in there with a very durable, tough guy and a dangerous guy in Smith. But Smith got dropped, was hurt in the first round, and then his leg was gone, and Johnny never went for the finish. Never tried to finish the fight. Just tried to fight safe and get the win.
Recall that the fight between Johnny Walker and Anthony Smith, held on May 13, went all three rounds and ended with the Brazilian winning by unanimous decision of the judges.
Walker's last fight was UFC 283 in January, 2023, when he stopped Paul Craig by TKO in the first round. The 31-year-old Brazilian fighter has 21 wins and seven losses under his belt.
Smith, 34, had previously competed at UFC 277 in July of 2022, when he lost to Magomed Ankalaev by TKO in the second round. He has 36 wins and 18 losses on his record.
