Top Russian UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net commented on the words of another Russian fighter Eduard Vartanyan, who earlier expressed hope that Tsarukyan would let him get ahead of him in the title race if he signs with the UFC:
First of all, Eduard needs to get into the UFC, second, he needs to secure his position there, third, he needs to get into the top 15. And only after that can he think about the title race. It's not an easy way and it's not fast, but if he gets there, of course, I'll let him get past me.
Vartanyan, 32, has 25 wins and four losses on his record. On June 16, Eduard defeated Artem Reznikov by technical knockout and became the winner of the ACA Lightweight Grand Prix.
