UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has expressed interest in facing lightweight fighter Dustin Poirier.

Topuria fought Max Holloway in October 2024 at UFC 308, winning the match by knockout in the third round. He boasts a record of 16 wins with no losses.
In contrast, Poirier last fought Islam Makhachev in June 2024 at UFC 302, where he lost by submission in the fifth round. His record stands at 30 wins, nine losses, with one fight ruled as a no contest.
