Topuria Aims to Become UFC Champion in Three Weight Classes

Current UFC featherweight champion, Spanish fighter born in Georgia, Ilia Topuria, has revealed his ambitions for the next three years.

Topuria told MMA Fighting:

Probably a three-weight world champion, this is my goal. You’re not going to see me in the welterweight division like this, skinny. You’re going to see me different. That’s the goal. Move up to the lightweight division, get that belt, then move up to the welterweight division.

Topuria's next clash will be against Max Holloway at UFC 308, scheduled for October 26 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

In his last fight, Topuria faced Alexander Volkanovski in February this year at UFC 298. In that bout, Ilia secured a victory by knockout in the second round, earning the championship belt in the featherweight division. He boasts an impressive record of 15 wins and no losses.
