A bout between UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and fifth-ranked middleweight Sean Strickland will headline UFC 293, which takes place on September 9 in Sydney, Australia.
Strickland, 32, last stepped into the octagon in July 2023 at UFC Vegas 76, defeating Abusupiyan Magomedov by technical knockout in the second round. He has 27 wins and five losses under his belt.
Adesanya, 34, last fought in April 2023 at UFC 287, defeating Alex Pereira by TKO in the second round. He has 24 wins and two losses on his record.
