Former UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira revealed whether he will continue his career after his title fight against Jamahal Hill in January 2023.
Glover Teixeira for BJ Penn
I'm definitely not going to retire right now. I've had those moments in the past. I dealt with injuries then. After losing to Corey Anderson I thought, 'I'll fight again and if I lose, I'll retire.' But then things got better and I was happy again. I like to train. Remember my last fight, the one with Jiří. You saw the level I'm still fighting at.
Hill, 31, last appeared in the Octagon against Brazilian Thiago Santos in August of this year at UFC Vegas 59. That fight ended in favor of Jamahal by TKO in the fourth round. He had 11 wins and one loss.
Teixeira, 43, lost at UFC 275 in June 2022 to Jiří Procházka by TKO in the fifth round. He has 33 wins and eight losses under his belt.
