Former UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira said he wants to break mixed martial arts veteran Randy Couture's record.
Glover Teixeira for MMA.News
My goal is to make history. I'm 43 years old and I feel amazing. Maybe I'll break Randy Couture's record before I retire. He's the only man ahead of me.
As a reminder, Couture became the oldest fighter in the history of the promotion to win a fight at the age of 46. He returned to light heavyweight from heavyweight in 2009 and defeated Brandon Vera by unanimous decision at UFC 105.
Teixeira, 43, lost at UFC 275 in June 2022 to Jiří Procházka by fifth-round choke. He has 33 wins and eight losses under his belt.
