UFC light heavyweight title challenger Glover Teixeira answered a question about ending his career. The Brazilian will fight American Jamahal Hill at UFC 283 on January 22.
Glover Teixeira
I don't know how much longer I'm going to perform. I'd like to say another 10 years, but it's unlikely. You know, I'm lucky I don't have any serious injuries. I've improved my defense, found a way to improve my style and learned how to train properly. I feel great, but it's hard to say how much longer I'm going to fight
Teixeira, 43, last competed at UFC 275 in June 2022, losing to Jiří Procházka by choking in the fifth round. Glover faced Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267 in October 2021. Their confrontation ended with Teixeira winning by submission (rear-naked choke) in the second round.
Teixeira made his mixed martial arts debut in June 2002 at WEC 3, losing to Eric Schwartz by TKO in the second round. He has 33 wins and eight losses under his belt.
