Former UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira of Brazil will face Anthony Smith of the United States in a June 29 grappling bout.
Recall that Smith and Teixeira previously met in May 2020 at UFC Fight Night 171. Glover won that fight by TKO in the fifth round.
Teixeira had his last fight against Jamahal Hill this past January at UFC 283. The fight lasted the whole distance and ended in Glover's defeat by unanimous decision. He has 33 wins and nine losses under his belt.
Smith is scheduled to fight Johnny Walker on the night of May 14 at UFC on ABC 4. Anthony last competed in the Octagon against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 277 in July of 2022. In that fight, Smith lost by TKO in the second round. He has 36 wins and 17 losses under his belt.
