UFC middleweight number six Sean Strickland revealed that his representatives are currently in talks with the team of division champion Israel Adesanya.
Sean Strickland in an interview with Helen Yee
We’re in talks. Like I said, it just comes down to just f*cking pay me. Let me ask you guys, do we really want to watch Dricus and Izzy fight? No. You want to watch me fight. I’m going to go in there and punch that motherf*cking Chinese right in the face.
Recall that Adesanya previously revealed that du Plessis refused to fight him at UFC 293 in September.
Strickland had a fight against Abus Magomedov on July 2 at UFC Vegas 76. In this confrontation, Sean won by technical knockout in the second round. He has 27 wins and five losses on his record.
Adesanya, 33, had his last fight against Alex Pereira in April of this year at UFC 287. In that confrontation, Israel won by knockout in the second round. He has 24 wins and two losses on his record.
