Aljamain Sterling defeated Henry Cejudo by split decision and defended the bantamweight division title for the third time in the main event of UFC 288 on May 7 in Newark, US.
This is Sterling's ninth win in a row, which is the division's all-time record. Georgian Merab Dvalishvili comes in second place. He has eight wins in a row. Third place is divided between the Russian Petr Yan (7) and Brazilian Renan Barão (7).
Remember, Sterling, 33, defeated T.J. Dillashaw by TKO in the second round at UFC 280 in October, 2022. Sterling, 33, has 23 wins and three losses.
