Former two-weight UFC champion Georges St-Pierre shared his thoughts on a potential matchup between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.
Georges St-Pierre, quoted by Bloody Elbow
I mean, you talk about legacy, Jon Jones is probably the best fighter that ever lived. If I have to choose someone in his prime that I put in the coliseum, hand-to-hand, I think it would be Jon Jones. It’s hard to deny that. However, nobody beats time and Tom Aspinall is on a hell of a run so it’s to see how they’re gonna match.
Jones last fought in the octagon against Stipe Miocic in November this year at UFC 309. That fight, which was stopped in the third round, ended with Jones winning by technical knockout. His record includes 28 wins and one loss, with one fight ruled as a no-contest.
Aspinall's latest bout was against Curtis Blaydes in July this year at UFC 304. He won that match by knockout in the first round, bringing his record to 15 wins and three losses.
