Journalist and insider Kevin Iole reported that the title fight in the middleweight division between Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev may be cancelled.

I’m hearing Dricus Du Plessis is injured, and though there has been no confirmation, if that’s accurate, a bout between Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev couldn’t headline IFW.
Du Plessis last fought against Sean Strickland in February of this year at UFC 312. Dricus won that fight by unanimous decision. His record stands at 23 wins and 2 losses.
Chimaev last stepped into the octagon against Robert Whittaker in October 2024 at UFC 308. Khamzat won that fight in the first roundby submission. His professional record includes 14 wins and no losses.
