UFC women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko was named women's fighter of the year at the World MMA Awards.

What a night! Thank you all so much for your love and support. Tonight I was honored to receive the Best Female Fighter of 2022 award! It means a lot to me, especially upon entering the next year. 2023 is my anniversary year. I'm celebrating my 30th birthday while playing combat sports.
She had her last fight in June at the UFC 275 tournament in Singapore against Taila Santos of Brazil. This confrontation ended in favor of Valentina by a split decision of the judges.
In September, 2021, Shevchenko had a fight against Lauren Murphy at the UFC 266 tournament. In this fight, Valentina won by TKO in the fourth round. She has 22 wins and three defeats on her record.
