Former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley recently met with the current champion of the division, Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili, at the UFC Performance Institute.
UFC CEO Dana White had previously mentioned that fans are eager to see a rematch between Dvalishvili and O'Malley.
"Are you ready to do this again? You've been enjoying champ life? It's 93 [days] more,” O'Malley told Dvalishvili, suggesting the upcoming UFC 316 event set for June 8 in Newark, New Jersey.
To recall, their fight at UFC 306 in September 2024 ended with Merab winning by unanimous decision. Dvalishvili has a record of 19 wins and four losses, while O'Malley holds 18 wins and two losses, with one bout ruled a no contest.
